In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep and the Spirit of God was moving over the face of the waters.
And God said, “Let there be light.”
“This painting was begun with yellow and golden paint brushed on and allowed to flow down. The images found themselves in the shapes and built upon each other until the story was told. On the first day, light; the second day the firmament is separated in the waters above and below; the third day, the earth gathered from amid the water and the vegetation; the fourth day, sun, moon, and stars; the fifth day, creatures in the waters, the birds in the sky; the sixth day all the living creatures of earth according to their kinds; also on this day, man was created in His image and God breathed into him the breath of life with a kiss. The gift of dominion over all his creation is given. Above all, the completion of the Trinity and God’s greatest gifts, the symbols of Christ and the Doves of the Holy Spirit.”
